Meridian Residences
Meridian is a self-initiated concept for a high-end residential development. The brief we set ourselves: make a property site that feels like the building, loads in under two seconds, and turns interest into booked viewings without a single pop-up.

Challenge
Premium property sites tend to be heavy, slow and interchangeable. Large imagery competes with the call to action and the enquiry path is buried behind brochures.
Objective
Communicate the quality of the development in the first screen, keep the experience fast on mobile, and make 'book a viewing' the obvious next step on every page.
Strategy
Lead with atmosphere, not inventory. A restrained dark palette lets the architecture carry the page; typography does the talking; one primary action is repeated at natural decision points.
Solution
A Next.js site with a small component system: hero, unit explorer, location story, specification sheet and a persistent 'book a viewing' action. Images are served as AVIF with responsive sizes.
Result
This is an independent concept, so no commercial results are claimed. In lab testing the pages score well on Core Web Vitals and the viewing path takes two taps from any screen.
Design and technical decisions
- Full-bleed hero with a reserved aspect ratio so the headline never shifts while media loads.
- Unit explorer built as a filterable server-rendered list, not a client-side app, so it indexes and loads instantly.
- Viewing form with three fields and a calendar hint; everything else is asked in the follow-up.
- Motion limited to reveals and a slow ambient gradient, disabled under reduced-motion preferences.
