What we do with your information.

This website does not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics scripts. The only personal information we collect is what you choose to send through the contact form.

Contact form

When you submit an enquiry we store your name, email address, company or website, project type, description and any optional budget or timeline in our own lead-management system, on equipment we control. It is first saved on the server that hosts this website, in a private queue that only our system can read with a secret key, and is fetched from there into our lead system on a schedule. We use it to reply to you and to prepare for a conversation about your project. We do not sell it, share it with third parties, or add you to a marketing list.

Submissions are rate-limited and de-duplicated to prevent abuse. Your submission is not sent to any AI service.

Free website check

When you run the free website check, our server fetches the address you enter once, plus that site’s robots.txt and sitemap.xml, identifying itself as “AFTERLIGHT-WebsiteCheck”. It sends no cookies and only reads public pages: private-network addresses, unusual ports and non-web addresses are refused. The result is kept in memory for 24 hours so a repeat check is instant, then discarded. We don’t log the address, store your IP address, or link the check to you. If you then send an enquiry, the address is only prefilled in the form; you choose whether to send it.

AI Lab

The AI Lab demo runs entirely in your browser using a small rule-based routine. Nothing you type there is transmitted or stored.

Analytics

We record a small number of anonymous interaction events: page views, clicks on buttons such as “Start a project”, whether a form or website check succeeded, and demo runs. They contain only the event name, the page path, the time and a few fixed values (for example the project type you picked). They contain no personal data, no IP address, no device or browser identifiers, and set no cookies.

These events are sent to this website's own server and stored there, never sent to a third party, and are used only in aggregate to see which pages lead to enquiries.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you by emailing Malta. We delete enquiry records on request.
